This enabled me to get to know and explore valuable opportunities about the job positions that I was looking for and I was able to apply for a job at United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees ( UNHCR ). And I am very honored to be offered the job position at the UNHCR. In addition to this, my four and a half years remarkable career journey with the Office of Advancement & Alumni Affairs at AIT has given me a chance to gain professional experience and international exposure and be able to transform my professional trajectory that can lead me to triumphant leaps and bounds towards my future career. As a fresh graduate with little to no work experience, one of the hardest parts was deciding how and where to start my career. I saw the placement from Essilor Luxottica about the STEM Graduate Program, which I found interesting because the company gave me an international career opportunity as a fresh graduate to develop both technical and managerial skills. I applied for this placement hoping to be part of the company, and after numerous individual and group interviews, I was successfully hired by Essilor Luxottica. The company helped me develop my long-term career goals, gain experience while working with experts, and make connections with individuals around the world. I am very grateful and honored to be part of Essilor Luxottica, and I am thankful for the AIT Career Fair for assisting and providing career opportunities to us students of AIT. Maria Marinela Gutierrez Mechatronics, School of Engineering and Technology (2021) I learned about the Management Associate Program at Prudential Life Assurance during the AIT Career Fair held in March 2023. I immediately applied by submitting my CV through Prudential’s LinkedIn opening. I was invited to take an online aptitude test and a video interview as part of the selection process. The next stage involved a whole-day assessment wherein I joined 30 other candidates from various universities in Bangkok. The assessment comprised several rounds, including a group case study and an individual case presentation. I successfully navigated each round and was selected for the prestigious program. This happened a few weeks before my graduation ceremony in May. In the next 24 months, I will be rotated through various departments at Prudential while gaining valuable insights into different facets of their operations. I firmly believe that this rotational program will broaden my horizons and provide me with a solid foundation in management and leadership. I would like to extend special thanks to my professors and my family for their guidance and support throughout my academic and professional journey. Their teachings and mentorship have played a vital role in shaping my knowledge and skills, which ultimately contributed to my success in securing this opportunity. It was a great opportunity to meet Dr.Saratchai Ongprasert, the head of Advanced Technology Center of TEAM who was impressed with my master’s thesis on Building Information Modeling(BIM). After a few rounds of interviews, I was selected as a R&D Engineer for their Advanced Technology Center. It is a great opportunity be a part of TEAM. The guidance of my advisers headed by Dr. Bonaventura Hadikusumo at the department of CEIM, AIT was a great motivation. Practical teachings, sportive competition both in curricular and cultural activities in AIT’s rich international atmosphere made me learn lot of things.Ever since I’ve come to Thailand, working here was always on my mind. Though there is less scope for the foreigners to get a job here, Career Fairs always succeeded to load confidence in us. Three Career Fairs happen to be held while I was in AIT and where I found a chance to know about Erawan Sugar Company” in the third Career Fair. While few companies are ready to hire me, it was difficult to choose the best challenging core job from them. During my research I woke up every day to see if there is an admission letter from Erawan. Being curious, I applied for the IT programmer position in Erawan’s portal page again. One day I was called for a technical interview and then to the company visit after a couple of weeks. I got the same kind of job which I’m looking for when my research was in its culmination stage. Every lecture and course I’ve attended had contributed hugely in escalating me to this stage. I will always be obliged to AIT. Thanks a ton. Arvind Reddy IT programmer at Erawan Sugar Ltd. I have never even thought of working here in Bangkok. But after I worked as an intern at AIT AI center, I realized that I could gain a lot of experiences from working in Thailand than in my country. So in my last semester at AIT, I applied for a web developer position at Codium, which is one of the leading software companies in Thailand. They first replied me with a programming quiz to test my skill. After i solved it they invited me to an interview but i never knew there would be a technical test, i was unprepared. But fortunately, I had sufficient knowledge of web development to pass the test at that time and now i have become a professional developer, working with many exciting big projects and enjoying the atmosphere. I would like to thank my professors for all the guidance and help along the path.
